Holiday post #4

TUESDAY

Why is a duck?
Let's answer a related question, in the form of 'Are ducks are more interesting than tulips'?

Ducks swim. They move towards bread. They quack. Note that the aforementioned tulip does none of these. It does not even retaliate when you kick it. All it does is sit around, waiting for a festival so that people can pay money to examine it.

Tulips, clearly, are unevolved.

I had the misfortune to attend one of these tulip festivals on Sunday. 'The Tessellar Tulip Festival', or whatever it was called.

Our family, a family of family friends, and their family of family friends went together. For the first hour we walked up and down the 100 x 100 block of tulip-filled land. Then we went around, looked at some stalls, and then sat down. We didn't have enough chairs at first so it took perhaps fifteen minutes to scab some chairs off groups of generous people. Lunch, took about four hours, due to the fact that there was nothing left to do but nobody wanted to admit it, so we all sat around waiting for the sky to get dark so we could go home. In that time I managed to get through my music playlist twice, and I got 175 for a City Bloxx 10-storey tower.

昨日プールに水泳をしにいきました。とてもたのしかったです。といをおよぎました。あとでつかれました。でも、よかったです。
あとでとしょかんにいきました。新しかったです、でもおおきくないです。たくさん本があります。

Yesterday night I finally finished reading The Book Thief. It's an excellent book, and everyone should read it. Now, officially all of Markus Zusak's books are good. I also started reading Lord of the Rings, which I had borrowed from the library. Boring book so far.

Today I haven't done much, but I played lots and lots of flute. That's about it. I have a flute lesson later tonight.

So in conclusion, ducks are better than tulips, and if one of them should be completely eradicated, then the choice is clear.

Why is a duck? and you said you were trying to improve your writing skills? 'Are ducks are more interesting than tulips'? is not a related question.
The first question is questioning the nature of the universe, how it was created, etc.
The second question was just random. I mean seriously. Are ducks more interesting than tulips? this is intelligent blogging!

Moving on, "ducks swim". How does this make them more evolved? Tulips are lucky enough to be able to stay still and get everything they need to survive. Ducks however have to swim about to get bread.
Bread, what treachery is this! ducks are relient on another species! So are most tulips, but even here there is a major difference.
Ducks are given scraps whilst tulips are fed food which is designed specifically for them, aren't they getting the better deal???

getting through your music playlist twice? how many songs do you have???? 3? 4? Look on the Hot 30 charts at fox fm. download. Listen. repeat this till you have enough songs that you won't get through them in one sitting.

Yeh, Marcus Zusazk is pretty good. Everyone should read it? Not everyone can read and this book is not translated into every language. Everyone should not read it because not everybody CAN read it. So insensitive.

In conclusion, both ducks and tulips SUCK but tulips are better because they get fed food that is specifically made for them, rather than some stale crust, which they then have to fight off a hobo for!

the other anonymous made two mistakes, one which is not all that important which is that "relient" is actually * reliant

and another much more obvious and horrible mistake, which is the SPELLING of the goddamn author of the book: It is not "Marcus Zusazk".. it is
* Markus Zuzak

Like, dear gosh, if you wish to criticise...

I digress.

The Tessellar Tulip Festival...I went that year as well! And I must admit, there wasn't really anything there. The beauty of nature was lost on me after a few hours. I understand your pain.

And Markus Zuzak's book is definitely one of the best books that I've ever had the pleasure to read, so kudos.
